I am quite excited about chairing the National Auxiliary for the 2009-2010 year. My focus for the year, “Making a Difference, One Life at a Time” is one I hope you will all share in! The leadership of the past has led us to where we are now and I am honored to be a part of the auxiliary for the future!
Your board will meet the end of September to discuss our long range plan. I would love any ideas and suggestions from the general membership to go over when our group meets. Please feel free to email me at deidrerogers@gmail.com and let me know your thoughts on the following to pass on to the board:
1 – What are the strengths of our organization?
2 – What are the weaknesses of our organization?
3 – What opportunities do you see in our future?
4 – What is your favorite thing about being an auxiliary member?
5 – Would you like to be involved on a committee or the board?
6 – How can we encourage attendance at our business meeting and at our luncheon?
Please feel free to pass on any suggestions you may have. We are a very receptive group! My thought to pass on to you today is this… “The purpose of life is to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have it make some difference that we lived at all.” I encourage you to take a moment today and to make a difference to someone! You’ll be glad you did!
